In the trailer for Baz Luhrmann's screen adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic The Great Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan (played by Carey Mulligan) can be heard calling Leonardo DiCaprio's Gatsby, "the man in the cool, beautiful shirts." As she says this, the camera focuses on a number of classic men's button downs raining from the upper balcony of what looks like a library. Well it turns out, those shirts are going to be made by none other than the legendary menswear brand Brooks Brothers. The company is the "official men's clothier of the film," WWD reports, and will create over 500 outfits for the flick, with the help of costume designer Catherine Martin. Not that we doubt the designer could have done it on her own--Martin has designed the duds for all of Luhrmann's films, including Moulin Rouge and Romeo + Juliet.

Everything about this news, and what we've seen of the film so far, has us drooling in a big way. Brooks Brothers has been around since 1818 (fun fact: it's the oldest men's clothing brand in the United States), and so it makes sense that Gatsby and his revelers would be clothed in suits from the innovative ready-to-wear shop. Check out the trailer for the film tell us, how excited are you to see The Great Gatsby?
